What to Expect

After Requesting an Appointment

Someone from our team will call or text you to schedule your appointment within 24 hours (business days) after receiving your request. Your appointment will be with a highly qualified clinician from EveryMind.

Because we only have 45 minutes to spend with you, we ask that you identify and focus on one concern per session.

The clinician you speak with will provide support and guidance based on the concern you want to talk about.

During Your Appointment

People call us for a range of reasons. You might be looking for strategies that can be used to help you cope with a stressful situation,  or you might simply want to be listened to with respect, understanding and without judgment.

We will ask you to tell us about the issue or challenge you would like us to help you with. Because we only have 45 minutes to spend with you, we ask that you focus on only one concern per session.

During the consultation, we will help you develop a clear plan of action that recognizes and builds on your own strengths and abilities. We will also provide you with resources that can help you and your family after the session is over.

Sometimes, we may refer you to another service, like WhereToStart.ca or the EveryMind Crisis line, but in many cases, one session is all our children, youth and families need in order to feel better about their situation and take the necessary steps toward positive change.

Of course, you can always request another session with us if you want more help after a few weeks of trying out the recommendations from your consultation plan.
